LA Food Truck Shoot: Done!
Ahh yes, you thought you got rid of me, didn't you? Well, I'm here to let you know that you have, indeed, not. We just wrapped our second episode for Breaking Down and it was our first of many of the subject on food; LA Food Trucks. Let me tell you I am full-full-full. We were able to shoot 4 vendors and I had such a great time that I'm already thinking of a follow up episode, to be sure.
So many different styles and so many different personalities: a master chef who worked with Wolfgang - another whom is close friends with Danny Trejo. I also had an especially interesting run in with celebrity chef Brian Hill. Chef Brian was a contestant on the first run season of Top Chef and is now co-star on his own show on the Food Network "The Private Chefs of Beverly Hills." Needless to say, with a role on a show like that, I was no match for his spirited, electric, undeniably contagious energy. After I was done with him I was thinking about changing the name of our show to "Leave it to Chef Brian." Personality is a huge part in the outcome of properly prepped cuisine and it was a wonderful variety of tastes and peoples today. This unbelievable trip was a realization of my dream - a dream that some day there we be such a thing as street food in LA - but today was even better, though - this is street food on wheels.
Catch this in Season One starting in Sept/Oct. 2010. And as Chef Brian would say "Priced to sell... and value added."
Burger Cheers,
